Ive been hairdressing in Newcastle for 9 years and joined the team at Blue Lotus 1 month ago. I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing, especially photographic/session work. After attending Hair Expo in sydney, June long weekend, we will be refreshed with new ideas of where hair fashion will be heading for summer '07/'08. Urban Promotions Voucher Booklet

Ricci here again. I am going to try and have all the girls post at least one entry on here, but I'm not sure how I will go. I'm known as my families own private technical help desk, and that is starting to take hold in the salon too! First Blog!

Hi Everyone!

This is Ricci, Salon Coordinator for Blue Lotus Salon. Welcome to our blog! =)

I have been slaving away at the computer all afternoon to get this up and running so every one had better like it! ;-)

Blue Lotus Salon, as you have no doubt already read, is only three and a half years old. We were originally located in Warners Bay, but moved to Newcastle in September of last year. It took 3months of hard work to turn Lisa's vision into reality, but the effort was more then worth it as the end results are amazing.

We had to paint the walls, paint the columns and the doors, we even had to paint the ceiling! Then we had to completely re-do the floor, install the basins and the stations and then finally move everything over from Warners Bay which took a good couple of days!

Since the move though we have been going from strength to strength; our photos have been in several international hair magazines, we have done several photo shoots, make-overs for the Newcastle Herald Fashion Review, been a part of an NXFM Breakfast Crew Promotion, hosted events and training courses for Schwarzkopf and more!

At the moment we are readying ourselves for the Newcastle Herald's Bid2Buy Auction at the end of May, Hair Expo in June and of course as many photo-shoots as we can possibly fit in!
